Visit of the town. As you walk around, be amazed by the architectural wealth of Arras. The Hôtel de Ville (Town Hall) and the belfry, gothic pearls set against the Baroque style of the façades, the Abbaye Saint-Vasst and the cathedral, which constitute France’s largest religious architectural grouping of the eighteenth century, or the proscenium theatre ... just some of the traces of the town’s past which we invite you to discover.
Visit of the belfry. Go up to the first tier of the belfry, 40 metres high, to be treated to a stunning panorama of the town and surrounding countryside (access by lift + 40 steps).
Evening:
Tales and Dreams of Artois son et lumière show.
Dazzling and stunning, come and admire a lavish son et lumière show in an outstanding natural setting. Almost 200 characters in period costumes transport you into a flamboyant and epic adventure, helping you experience great moments in the history of Artois. The beauty of the lighting, the special effects, novel décor and fireworks will add to this unforgettable evening. Shows are programmed for Fridays 2nd, 9th and 16th and Saturdays 3rd, 10th and 17th September 2012.
Arrival 8.00pm, show starts 9.00pm. A light evening meal is available at the venue.
